Northville Township Millage Renewal on the August 4 Ballot
The current Northville Township millage is set to expire at the end of this year. Residents will be asked to consider a millage renewal on the August 4 ballot.
This proposal represents a renewal of an existing millage, not a new or additional tax.
What does the millage fund?
If approved, the millage would continue funding operations for existing Township services, including:
- Police
- Fire
- Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
- Parks & Recreation
- Senior Services
- Youth Network
Public safety services—Police, Fire and EMS—represent the largest portion of the proposed funding.
Proposed Millage Details
- Term: 8 years
- Rate: 7.2054 mills (2025 rollback rate)
- Estimated Cost: Approximately $7.21 per $1,000 of taxable value
How Funds Would Be Allocated
- Public Safety: 6.3447 mills
- Parks, Senior & Youth Services: 0.7452 mills
- General Operating: 0.1155 mills
