Northville Township Road Project Updates
Northville Township is working with Wayne County to advance several infrastructure projects in early 2026 focused on improving safety and traffic flow.
- Traffic signal modernization and intersection widening at Five Mile Road and Ridge Road are scheduled to begin Feb. 23. A preconstruction meeting was held Jan. 15, and roadway closures are expected later in the project. Construction is anticipated to continue through summer 2026.
- Detours:
Northbound Ridge: Halyard Drive → Beck Road → Five Mile Road
Southbound Ridge: Five Mile Road → Beck Road → Halyard Drive
- Bridge rehabilitation and deck replacement on Baseline Road over the CSX railroad are finally scheduled to begin March 2. Tree clearing is largely complete, with stump removal planned ahead of demolition. The project is expected to continue through summer 2026. Residents are encouraged to watch for updates regarding traffic impacts and project progress.
- Detours:
Eastbound: South on Beck Road → East on Six Mile Road → North on Haggerty Road → Eight Mile
Westbound: South on Haggerty Road → West on Six Mile Road → North on Beck Road → Eight Mile
