Rescue operations, otherwise known as technical or specialized rescue, involves incidents that require the use of specialized tools and skills to facilitate a successful outcome in an atypical immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) environment. This may include water and ice rescue, motor vehicle accidents and extrications, hazardous materials, ropse rescue, trench, or collapse rescues and hositle incident response (rescue task force RTF).
Motor vehicle accidents and extrication

Ice and water rescue
Staff train annually on the techniques and equipment necessary to respond to these time critical, life or death emergencies.
Hazardous materials response (HAZMAT)
Staff are trained to the operations level to minimize the scope of the event and protect the population. Select department members serve on the county team.
Rope rescue, collapse, trench (USAR)
Trained to the awareness level to recognize, identify and mitigate specialty rescue situations.
Hostile incident response (RTF)
Equipped with specialized training and equipment including: body armor, tourniquets and other bleeding control devices we respond to active shooter to save lives
