2026 Northville Township Volunteer of The Year - Diana Wallace
When Diana Wallace moved to Northville Township four decades ago, she didn’t just put down roots, she began building a legacy of service that continues to shape the community today.
Currently, as Executive Director of Northville Community Foundation and Maybury Farm, she has improved the quality of life for every resident with every program she champions.
Four years ago, she helped Northville Township launch its Golf-4-Good Charity Golf Outing, which raises thousands of dollars annually for the Northville Community Foundation to award scholarships to local organizations, including the beloved Maybury Farm. Because of this and her deep commitment to giving back, she is the 2026 Northville Township Volunteer of the Year.
After spending more than 50 years in a demanding professional career, Diana retired as an executive from the mortgage industry in 2018. Rather than slow down, she leaned fully into the community she loved. That same year, she joined the Board of the Northville Community Foundation, motivated by a simple but powerful belief: giving back matters. Soon after, she immersed herself in the daily operations of the Foundation and Maybury Farm, roles that allowed her to combine leadership with heart. In 2019, she was at the top of both organizations.
For Diana, service didn’t arrive all at once. It grew naturally, year by year, event by event. Long before retirement, she was already showing up. It began in 1994, when she volunteered with the annual Fourth of July Parade, a gathering that brings neighbors together on Northville streets every summer. In 2001, she added the Holiday Home Tour to her volunteer calendar, embracing the behind-the-scenes work that turns beloved traditions into lasting memories.
Perhaps most telling is how Diana brings others along with her. Volunteering has become a family affair, with her husband, Roger, daughters Amy and Kelly, nieces Emily and Sara, and many friends stepping in whenever she asks.
For Diana, service is about connection. Working together, caring for one another and investing in the place they all call home. It’s her mission. And it’s become the mission of everyone she loves.
“Giving back to Northville has always been a key mission for me and working in and with Northville Township to support the community I love has been one of my greatest honors,” she said. “I am so proud to be able to contribute to the community whenever and wherever I can to help others and meet my personal goals and passions!”
Congratulations, Diana Wallace, for winning Northville Township’s 2026 Volunteer of the Year.
