
Township small businesses have access to more financial relief from the extended COVID-19 shut down. Wayne County has opened a second round of Back to Work Small Business grants. It has $57.5 million in CARES Act funding to help weather financial hardships, with grants up to $20,000. This round includes home-based businesses.
Grants may be used to fund new technology, payroll, supplier payments, rent, utility payments, COVID-related sanitation and PPE supplies and more.
To apply, your business must be located in Wayne County and meet all the following requirements:
- Identify as a small business, with less than 50 FTE employees.
- Existed for more than 1 year according to tax documentation.
- Your business is in good standing with the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) and up to date on tax obligations.
- Business was profitable pre-COVID.
