Parks Twp CombpThank you for following the Governor’s “Stay Home – Stay Safe” Executive Order. The safety of ALL OF YOU remains the highest priority for Northville Township. Being outdoors and enjoying nature is good for your mental and physical well-being. We encourage you to continue walking, bike riding and running at safe distances from others.

However, even with all the reminders, we continue to see large groups of people gathering in our parks and fields.

To protect all of our residents (young, old and furry too) we need to temporarily close all of our Northville Township parks (including soccer, baseball, lacrosse and other fields and courts, playgrounds, equipment, and the dog parks) through April 30th. Paths and walkways will remain open for walking, bike riding and running ONLY by following the social distancing guidelines: remaining at least 6 feet apart from one another. We will re-evaluate this policy and advise how our parks will be used after April 30th.

Signs will also be posted at each of our park locations. Please take steps to monitor and ensure that all members of your family are adhering to these guidelines. We do not want our first responders to have to devote valuable lifesaving time monitoring parks, playgrounds and athletic fields.

The only way we can slow the spread of the virus and begin to return to “normal” is for EVERYONE to please adhere to these policies and practice safe social distancing when out and about. Thank you for your support and cooperation!

Stay healthy and safe -
Mark Gasche (Parks Director) and Bob Nix (Supervisor)
