Northville Parks and Recreation is recruiting for the following position: 

TITLE: Parks Maintenance 
Seasonal (May-October), Hourly, up 40 hours/week, day shift 7 am-3:30 pm, M-F 

REPORTS TO: Parks & Facilities Supervisor 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Parks & Facilities Supervisor, performs a variety of routine and skilled maintenance, activity set-up/preparation, and custodial 
duties in support of parks and recreation buildings and grounds. Typical maintenance, repair, set-up, and cleaning duties include work in park restrooms, pavilions, ball fields, playgrounds, and landscape areas. Operates trucks, utility vehicles, and other equipment and tools. 

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: A High School diploma or GED; or any combination of experience and training which meet the minimum qualifications. Must possess a current, valid Michigan Driver’s License with a driving history that does not create liability concerns. 

EXPERIENCE: Grounds, facility maintenance, or custodial experience is preferred. 

SKILLS: Ability to critically assess situations, solve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and ability to perform requirements of trash removal, equipment operation, and park maintenance duties. 

COMPENSATION: $16/hour
