TITLE: Transportation Driver

REPORTS TO: Senior Services Superintendent

SUMMARY: This part-time position is responsible for providing daily curb-to-curb transportation services to local destinations and may drive buses for area day trips. The vehicles used vary in size from vans to 13 passenger buses.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent

LICENSE: Valid Michigan Driver’s/Chauffer’s License required.

SCHEDULE:

· 8-21 Hours per Week
· 8 Hours/Day
· Weekday Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

SKILLS:

· Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal traffic laws, rules and regulations.

· Ability to learn safety issues/precautions related to the provision of transportation services.

· Ability to establish effective working relationships and use good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness when working with staff and program participants.
