TITLE: Safety Town Director
STATUS: Non-exempt, seasonal position, 20-25 hours/week, June through mid-August, Monday-Friday.
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Recreation Specialist or their designee, the employee in this position plans and supervises all aspects of administering a fun and educational safety program for children entering kindergarten, including supervising teen volunteers and two employees.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE: At least one year of experience in child development, elementary education, recreation, or extensive experience working with pre- kindergarten children and teens. Mature, responsible, self-confident and energetic. CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. If not certified the class will be offered as part of our training.
COMPENSATION: Starting rate: $17/hour
